He was the second-highest run-scorer for the team. He also praised Shreyas and said that there is no better captain than him. Shashank Singh played a strong innings in the IPL final. Shashank remained unbeaten and scored 61 runs off 30 balls. However Punjab Kings could not win and the team lost the final by 6 runs. Shashank thrashed Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood a lot during the match. Shashank hit 3 fours and 6 sixes during his innings.
