
He emphasized that this platform would serve as a step for players to reach a higher level of the game. Expressing confidence in the cricket capacity of the region, the minister said, “Saurashtra players will be ready to play IPL (Indian Premier League) and international matches.” Mandavia also praised the growing enthusiasm towards cricket in the region. He said, “There is a very good atmosphere to play cricket in Saurashtra.” He appreciated the efforts of the Saurashtra Cricket Association for development at the grassroots level.
Cricketers emerging from Saurashtra Pro T20 League are expected to get an invaluable match experience and will serve as a pipeline for future stars of the region. The tournament will be held at the famous Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. Five teams will compete for the title, including Anmol Kings Harar, Aryan Soreth Lions, Dita Gohilwad Titans, Jalavad Strikers and JMD Kutch Riders. SPTL 2025 will be played from 7 to 20 June and will have about 21 matches including the final.
