Tottenham Hotspur followers have been left with mixed feelings following the , a move drawing reactions aplenty in the Football.London .

Ange Postecoglou has parted ways with Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after being relieved of his duties as head coach. His spell saw him lift the Europa League trophy in May, yet it wasn't enough to cement his position with Spurs.

had become tabloid fodder throughout the 2024/25 season, with poor results driving to a lacklustre 17th place finish in the Premier League, prompting Chairman to pull the trigger. The hunt is now on for a new gaffer at Spurs with Brentford's Thomas Frank and Fulham's Marco Silva among those tipped for the role alongside Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola. This is what some of our readers have had to say on the shocking news. One reader, Billwing says: "Thank you Ange for a year that will go down in our history, hold your head high! We wish you the best with the rest of your managerial career."

Steveb457 adds: "Lets be honest we did not deserve him I expect his replacement will have won nothing. Have no European experience but will guarantee a mid table position."

Theczar writes: "While wishing Ange Postecoglou my very best wishes for the future to he and his family I have to say that while shocking this (another) ridiculous decision from Levy and the Board is not surprising. Levy and the Tottenham Board and owners should hang their heads in shame as also should the many so-called supporters who were baying for Ange's sacking prior to his triumphal leading of the players & the Club to European success for the first time in 42 years.

"I've been a supporter of this Club since May 1967 and while the sacking of Poch was horrible and greatly misjudged by Levy with the Club taking 6 years to recover from that sacking, this sacking of Ange Postecoglou is quite insane. Regardless who Levy now brings in to replace Ange, it will take the Club a minimum of another 3 years to recover from this insult to Ange, to the players and to all loyal supporters of the Club."

Spurssince1960 states: "Well, the decision has been made! Now can we get behind the next manager, whatever it takes!"

B08mla is grateful "Awesome job Ange, with what little player depth given you by Dr. Evil. Levy needs to go. Please sell team to someone who cares."

Oldspur feels: "Thanks Ange, you leave a legacy that'll never be forgotten. As for you Levy, if the next manager doesn't do something remarkable next season - you should go too."

Jontyc1974 says: "I have been a Spurs fan for 40 years. We wanted attacking free flowing football and a trophy, he gave it to us. Injuries had an impact if we finished 8th would he have been sacked?"

Logenm believes: "What a disaster for Spurs. Ange kept his promise of winning a trophy in his 2nd season and also qualified to play in Champions League. This the present he gets from Spurs. I have been a supporter for over 67 years and since Levy took over, we have had disaster after disaster. This is the biggest one yet. Congratulations Levy for screwing Spurs up again. I can see us lingering in mid table again. Very sad day for Spurs Fans."

Cand63 writes: "I’m not surprised, but very disappointed. Levy has scored a huge own goal, and the next manager will have to convince the dressing room that he’s the one to follow. Expect players to be completely left bemused. The Chairman has once again demonstrated his lack of understanding of the Club and its fan base. £6 million a year for sacking managers every other season.

"The problem now is yet another rebuilding process. I’m wondering how long before a new manager can be appointed and players bought for the new manager. Massive backlash from fans can be expected. I won’t be spending any money on club merchandise until Levy and ENIC get out of the club I’ve followed for nearly 60 years!"

Marlon1 thinks: "Another appalling decision by Levy, and he couldn’t have done it without the media and divided fanbase, so well done. I imagine he planned for Frank during the season, not thinking we’d win the Europa League and knew his post-season silence would let the division flourish, allowing him to follow it through. He hasn’t just been deciding this week! This is great for the angry outsiders, but if you’re all excited and think it shows ambition, it actually proves Levy’s LACK of ambition. It’s not about winning trophies, it’s JUST about revenue from European football (finishing in top 6), EVERY season, regardless of circumstances. He’s replaced a winner who the players loved, who so many fans adore and who obviously deserved to take us into the Champions League and try and keep this winning momentum with a guy who’s never managed a big club, never managed in European football and never won a trophy. It’s truly repulsive and leaves a severely bitter taste in the mouth! LEVY OUT!"

Jonspurz says: "Back to Square One then. Mid table at best for the next few seasons. Ah, to be a Spurs fan. Fun while it lasted."

Demosth writes: "It is a very sad day. I was looking forward to season 3. I don't understand the decision. Wish Ange the best. Thank you!"
