
Anji bridge inaugurates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat Express connecting Katra to Katra and Srinagar to Jammu and Kashmir Katra railway station. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s first Cable-Stad Rail Bridge (Fort Bridge). Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, CM Omar Abdullah and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav were also present. Prime Minister Narendra Modi waved the tricolor, inaugurating the world’s highest railway Arch Bridge – Chenab Bridge.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspected the Chenab Bridge. Chenab Rail Bridge is the world’s highest railway Arch bridge, located at an altitude of 359 meters from the river. It is a 1,315 meter long Steel Arch Bridge designed to withstand earthquakes and air conditions. An important impact of this bridge will be in improving connectivity between Jammu and Srinagar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the school children in the train before flagging off the Vande Bharat Express connecting Katra and Srinagar to Katra railway station. He also interacted with the railway employees present in the train.
