Carlos Soler (28) is set to return to Paris Saint-Germain following the conclusion of his season-long loan at West Ham United, the Premier League club confirmed on Friday.
The Spanish midfielder featured 31 times in the English top flight during the 2024/25 campaign, including 17 starts. Despite showing flashes of technical ability, Soler never fully established himself as a first-choice regular under David Moyes’ successor and now finds himself back in the French capital with his long-term future still unclear.
Still under contract with PSG until June 2027, Soler is widely expected to be part of the club’s summer outgoings. The former Valencia man has struggled to find a consistent role in Paris since his €18m arrival in 2022 and was loaned out last summer in search of regular game time.
West Ham did however confirm the permanent signing of OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo (25), who joined the Hammers on an initial loan deal last summer.
Soler does not appear to be in Luis Enrique’s plans for next season.
