On the one hand there is a possibility of change in the prices of LPG cylinders used in the kitchen, on the other hand there will be changes in the rules to credit cards. Let us discuss these major changes and their possible effects in detail.

Free Aadhaar update closed

An important change to the Aadhaar card is going to happen in the month of June, which will be applicable not from the 1st, but after June 14. UIDAI has provided free Aadhaar card update to Aadhaar users, the last date of which is 14 June. If a user is not able to get free updates till this date, then he will have to pay a fee of 50 rupees for this service.

EPFO 3.0 will be launched

The government is planning to launch EPFO ​​3.0, a new version of EPFO ​​on 1 June. Recently, Union Minister Mansukh Mandavia shared information about its advantages and changes on his social media platform. With the introduction of this new version, more than 9 crore members of the country can get the facility of withdrawing PF through ATMs.

LPG cylinder prices!

On the first date of every month, people are eyeing the possible changes in the prices of LPG cylinders and it can also be on May 1 as well. Earlier this month, oil marketing companies kept the prices of 14 kg domestic gas cylinders stable, while 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder prices have been reduced by Rs 17 per cylinder.

CNG-PNG prices change!

There may be a significant change for air travelers on 1 June 2025, which can make them relief or difficult. Indeed, oil marketing companies not only change the prices of LPG cylinders on the first date of every month, but also amend the prices of air turbine fuel (ATF). The prices of ATF were reduced in May, and it is expected to change in early June. Along with this, new prices of CNG and PNG can also be released.

Credit card rules

The third important change is being implemented to the credit card users from the first date. If you use the credit card of Kotak Mahindra Bank, then you may get a big shock from June 1. The main aspect of this change is associated with auto debit transactions. If there is any problem in your auto debit transaction, then a bounce charge of 2 % can be levied by the bank, which can be a minimum of Rs 450 and a maximum of Rs 5000.

According to the bank’s website, the monthly finance charge on most credit cards from the first date may increase. This can increase from the current 3.50 percent (42 percent per year) to 3.75 percent (45 percent per year).

Changes in FD interest rates possible

Banks may change the interest rates of fixed deposits and loans in June. FD rates may decrease due to a possible repo rate cut by the Reserve Bank. For example, sunrise small Finance Bank has reduced the interest rate on 5 years FD from 8.6% to 8%.

New cut-off time in mutual funds

SEBI has set a new cut-off time for overnight mutual fund scheme. From June 1, there will be 3 pm for offline transactions and 7 pm for online transaction. The orders made after this will be valid on the next working day.

The name of the receiver will be seen in UPI transaction

NPCI has implemented a new rule, according to which users will only see the banking name of the real receiver while making UPI payment. The QR code or edited names will no longer be seen. This rule is mandatory to apply to all UPI apps by June 30.

Utility bill will be expensive with credit card

Some banks have indicated that an additional fee can be levied on paying the utility bills such as electricity and water from a credit card from June or changes in cashback terms.

According to RBI, there will be a total of 12 bank holidays in June 2025, including Sunday, second and fourth Saturdays. Also, banks will be closed on festivals like Bakrid. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare a plan to cash or banking in advance.
