LIC’s lottery, with a record of selling policy

Life Insurance of India i.e. LIC has recently set a great record. Shortly before, LIC set the Guinness World Record for selling the highest policy in 24 hours. Now the company has earned Rs 19,013 crore within 3 months. India’s largest life insurance company LIC has increased from 38 percent to Rs 19,013 crore in the quarter of January to March 2024-25.

Life Insurance of India i.e. LIC on Tuesday informed the stock market about the financial report of the March quarter. The company earned a net profit of Rs 13,763 crore in the same quarter 1 year ago.

The government company LIC has said that the Total Income of LIC has come down to Rs 2,41,625 crore during the quarter under review, compared to Rs 2,50,923 crore in the same quarter of FY 2023-24. The income from the premium of the company’s new policy has also come down to Rs 11,069 crore in the quarter of March 2025. This figure was Rs 13,810 crore in the same period of a year ago.

Premium earned earnings

However, income from the new premium of the policy in the period under review has increased to Rs 79,138 crore, which used to be Rs 77,368 crore from January to March 2024. Also, LIC’s net profit increased by 18 percent to Rs 48,151 crore in FY 2024-25, while in FY 2023-24 the figure was Rs 40,676 crore. During the last financial year, the total income of the insurance company has increased to Rs 8,84,148 crore. It was Rs 8,53,707 crore in FY 2023-24. The Board of Director of this passed LIC had demanded the last dividend of Rs 12 per equity share for the financial year 2024-25, although it is yet to be decided.

The company set a world record

The insurance company has recently set a Guinness World Record by selling the policies in 24 hours. LIC has stated in its official statement that 4,52,839 agents have completed and issued 5,88,107 life insurance policies across India in this special day. To which LIC has said that these records are the result of dedication, sharp skills and solid work ethics of our agents.
