Suspense crime, Digital Desk : As of this year, the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) now holds a Guinness World Record for the issuance of the most insurance policies within 24 hours. On Saturday, the company officially provided this information.
“On January 20th, 2025, 5,88,107 life insurance policies were issued at the same time in different parts of the country by 4,52,839 LIC agents, who, together set a new global benchmark in the life insurance industry.”
‘Mad Million Day’: A Landmark Strategy
The reason behind this groundbreaking achievement was ‘Mad Million Day’, an LIC-sponsored campaign run by the company’s MD and CEO, Siddhartha Mohanty. Each LIC and the agents were required to meet the preset objective of issuing at least one policy on that designated day.
In a statement, the company said, “This is a powerful affirmation of the agents’ unwavering dedication, skill, and incredible work ethic.”
“It reaffirms our relentless attempt at offering customers and their families financial assistance.”
Mad Million Day put the entire LIC network to the test, making the productivity frenzy unprecedented in Indian history.
Indian Insurance Sector Receives Worldwide Notoriety
The award from Guinness World Records positions LIC on a global pedestal for agent productivity as well as operational productivity. This does not only tell us about the credibility of the organization, but it also indicates about his huge network and ability…but also points to the precision with which such high volume campaigning is executed.
Leadership Commends Nationwide Effort
As Siddhartha Mohanty paid gratitude to LIC’s customers, agents, and employees, he said:
“This achievement and the concentrated effort put towards it has undoubtedly been something to be proud of. ‘Mad Million Day’ is definitely a landmark day for LIC as well as the Indian insurance sector.”
