
Mukul Dev's Untimely Demise
Mukul Dev, a prominent figure in Bollywood, sadly passed away on May 23. He was known for his roles in hit films such as ‘Son Of Sardaar’, ‘R…Rajkumar’, ‘Jai Ho’, and ‘Omerta’. Mugdha Godse disclosed that he had been in the ICU for a week due to health issues and ultimately could not recover. The news of his passing has left his colleagues in the film industry in disbelief.
In a conversation with a media outlet, Mugdha expressed, “We are still grappling with the shock.” She continued, “He was in the ICU for a week facing health complications, and we never imagined this outcome.”
Mukul's brother, Rahul Dev, shared that he passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his cremation scheduled for the same day. Rahul's post stated, “Our brother Mukul Dev passed away peacefully in New Delhi last night. He is survived by his daughter Sia Dev and will be missed by siblings Rashmi Kaushal, Rahul Dev, and nephew Sidhant Dev. The cremation will take place at 5 PM.”
Mukul Dev also made a mark on television, featuring in popular series like ‘Kutumb’ and ‘Kumkum’. He received the Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for his performance in ’21 Sarfarosh – Saragarhi 1897’. His Bollywood journey began with the 1996 film ‘Dastak’, which also marked the debut of Sushmita Sen.
