What is the way to lock?
Go to UIDAI's official website, uidai.gov.in. Go to the option of My Aadhaar and click on Lock / Unlock. Enter VID number, full name, PIN code and captcha. Then you will get an OTP on your registered mobile number. Your Aadhaar will be locked as soon as you submit the OTP.
You can also lock your Aadhaar by SMS.
You can also lock Aadhaar by sending a message from your mobile number. For this, send SMS by writing GETOTP to 1947 from your registered number. An OTP will come to the mobile number. Send the OTP again to 1947 as 'LOCKUID Aadhaar number'. Your Aadhaar will be locked in a few seconds.
