
Bollywood Reacts to Tragic Attack in Pahalgam
Salman Khan has voiced his sorrow and outrage regarding the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in numerous casualties and has deeply affected the nation. He expressed on X, "Kashmir, once a paradise on earth, is now engulfed in chaos. Innocent lives are being targeted, and my heart aches for their families. Taking even one innocent life is akin to destroying the entire universe."
Shah Rukh Khan also shared his feelings on X, lamenting the loss of innocent lives and calling for national unity. He stated, "Words cannot capture the sadness and anger stemming from this treacherous and inhumane act of violence in Pahalgam. In such times, we can only turn to God and pray for the grieving families. May we, as a nation, remain united and seek justice for this atrocious act."
Alia Bhatt described the news from Pahalgam as 'heartbreaking,' stating, "Innocent lives have been lost. Tourists, families, individuals who were simply seeking beauty and peace are now engulfed in grief." Anushka Sharma labeled the incident a 'cold-blooded terror attack,' while Sidharth Malhotra referred to it as a 'cowardly act.' He expressed confidence in the armed forces, stating, "I trust they will take necessary action." Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Sunny Deol also condemned the attack vehemently. Kareena shared on her Instagram Story, "Beyond heartbroken for the victims and their families. Praying for the lives lost. #Pahalgam."
Vicky Kaushal expressed hope that those responsible for this 'heinous act' would face justice. He remarked, "I cannot fathom the pain of the families who lost their loved ones in this inhumane act of terrorism in Pahalgam. My deepest condolences and prayers are with them."
Earlier, other celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt, Kamal Haasan, and Ritesh Sidhwani also condemned the attack. Nani, who filmed his Telugu movie Hit: The Third Case in Pahalgam just three months ago, expressed his shock, stating, "Over 200 people worked for nearly 20 days. Pahalgam felt like a dream. The place, the people, and their warmth... Why?"
Allu Arjun, star of Pushpa 2, expressed his heartbreak on X, saying, "Such a beautiful place with kind-hearted people. My condolences to all the families of the victims. May their innocent souls rest in peace. Truly heart-breaking."
Suniel Shetty remarked that the attack was an assault on 'the soul of Kashmir and its long-standing tradition of hospitality.' Sunny Deol emphasized the urgent need to prioritize the end of terrorism, stating, "The victims are innocent people; humanity must reflect on itself. I stand with the affected families during this time of sorrow. #PahalgamTerroristAttack."
Ajay Devgn expressed his shock over the attack, stating, "The victims and their families were innocent souls, and what transpired is both heartbreaking and evil. My thoughts and prayers are with them."
An emotional Anupam Kher shared a video on social media, captioning it, "Wrong. Wrong. Wrong!! Pahalgam massacre! Words fail me today!! #Pahalgam."
